    POLARISED LENS

Visible light is a mixture of many kinds of waves. They vary in wavelength and also vibrate in different directions as they move. We perceive light waves that vibrate horizontally as ‘glare’. Vertical vibration light waves however, are useful information to the human eye, enabling us to see colour and contrast.

The vertical membrane of the Nation Sport XT™ polarised lens blocks the horizontal polarised light and only allows through the light that can be best processed by the eye.

The delicate polarised membrane is enclosed within two impact resistant XT™ lenses thus totally eliminating scratching or abrasion. The result is non-glare vision with natural colours and contrast.

Smooth and reflective surfaces such as wet roads, glass, water or sand reflect a white and glaring light.  This light restricts visibility so that we are unable to fully appreciate colours and contrasts. Normal sunglasses block out useful and interfering light to an equal extent. This means the image becomes darker overall.  The colours are paler but the disturbing light is not eliminated.

The Nation Sport XT™ polarised lens therefore has distinct performance advantages over ordinary sunglasses.
